ouis XVI chairs in the kitchen–really, this would not be a surprise to anyone who knows me. The decisions have been made and the work will continue this week. We had a very slow kitchen renovation week last week because the contractor had to have a root–canal and the painter pulled a muscle and pinched a nerve in his back, so, work came to a halt. Well, not exactly, the house was crowned with a new roof! Construction is breaking out all over the house.
Here are a few of the choices we have made:
These chairs will be rubbed with a gray paint and then waxed. The Juliska 'Country Estate' china was my inspiration.
Paint choices: cabinets–Farrow and Ball Cornforth White (on the left) walls–Benjamin Moore 026, Trim–Sherwin Williams Classic White. They all resemble an Oyster shell.
The ceiling color is Benjamin Moore–April Sky. Janie is in charge of renovations this week.
This window/mirror will go over the sink. The green island will be painted and topped with copper.
Sneak–peek at the new wide plank floors. The color is Provencial by Min-wax.
